He was born in Kyrenia on January 31<sup>st<\/sup> 1913. He was accidentally killed by friendly fire coming from the armed teams of EDEK at Prophet Elias on April 25<sup>th<\/sup> 1964, during a scheduled attack against the fortress of Agios Ilarionas. Costas left behind his wife Maria Christodoulou Alexandrou from the village of Fteriha and his three children, Yiannakis, Demetrakis, who was a missing person until 2007, and Panayiota.
