army to abandon our fatherland and become refugees by invading Cyprus in 1974:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>DEMAND<\/strong><br \/>\nthat we be given the right to return to our homes and properties and live in them along with our children in freedom and safety.<\/li>\n<li><strong>DEMAND<\/strong><br \/>\nthat human rights and the European Union\u2019s acquis\u00a0 be applied for us as well since we are equal citizens of the European Union.<\/li>\n<li><strong>EXPECT<\/strong><br \/>\nthe United Nations to help reach a solution which will be in line with the principles which this organization aims to preserve based on its statute and not submit plans which will violate every principle of law.<\/li>\n<li><strong>EXPECT<br \/>\n<\/strong>that everyone who can see how unfair this situation is to us will contribute to the best of their abilities so that this will cease to exist.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KYRENIA MUNICIPALITY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Turkish invaders might have forced the community of the native Greek Cypriot citizens of Kyrenia to seek refuge in the free areas of Cyprus, but they have not been able to wipe it out.<\/li>\n<li>The entire Municipality of Kyrenia demands nothing more but the respect for its citizens\u2019 human rights and the right to return to their city where they lived for thousands of years.<\/li>\n<li>The European Court of Human Rights of the Council of Europe has already recognized the inalienable right of Kyrenian citizen Titina Loizidou to her property with a decision issued in December 1996 (Case of Loizidou Vs Turkey, 40\/1993\/435\/514), and Turkey has already complied and compensated Mrs Loizidou for depriving her of possible incomes that would derive from her property, which she still rightfully owns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>It is unacceptable that a part of the European Union is still under military occupation and constitutes one of the most heavily armed areas in the world.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>KYRENIA KNOWS HOW TO WAIT BECAUSE ITS HISTORY DICTATES THAT ITS FAIR FIGHT SHALL NOT
